You might notice that you can’t hear someone talking to you, you can’t hear the TV, radio, or a movie. You might have trouble following conversations.
Many of our patients comment about feeling isolated due to their hearing loss.
When you have early or mild hearing loss, you will have trouble with high-frequency sounds. With more severe hearing loss, you may miss conversations and sounds almost entirely.
If you believe you might have hearing loss, the first step is scheduling a hearing evaluation. We’ll follow up with a clinical diagnosis of your results and discuss the next steps.
We also offer a risk-free 60-day free trial of hearing aids and financing options, in the event, you do need them. So, let’s find out together, where your hearing levels are at and how we can help.

“I went to a few hearing aide companies in Winnipeg. Comparing attitudes and pricing, Ear Architects hearing suited me to the tee. Friendly and calls me every couple of weeks to see how I’m doing. Doesn't charge me for any parts, and repairs wax stoppers for free. I’m very happy with the service and price. Will recommend this place to anybody. 5-star.” – Mervin via Google
“Professional, helpful, educated and very well-spoken. Explained everything in a way I understood completely! If you are looking for someone to “talk to” give her a call!” – Greg via Facebook

Meet Kristy Stefanson-Tarasoff, B.A., BC-HIS, RHAP
Kristy Tarasoff is a registered hearing instrument practitioner with more than a decade of experience. As a child, she saw up close the effects of hearing loss on her family’s quality of life. As her grandfather grew older, his hearing deteriorated and he became socially isolated and less independent because of it. Like many people with hearing loss, Kristy’s grandfather was fit with hearing aids which were beneficial for his well being.
Kristy’s practise was first established in 2009 in Calgary during her employment at Calgary Hearing Aid and Audiology. She was instrumental in leadership within the clinic and daily operations to integrate within the surrounding community.
She’s passionate about serving her community and equally committed to working with clients from all over Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Kristy’s patients come to see her from as far away as the United States, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, as well as just down the block. When Kristy started practicing, she was inspired by her grandparents; she wanted to help older adults with hearing loss avoid the stigma and social isolation her grandparents experienced.
She soon found herself treating patients as young as 18 with high-frequency hearing loss; professional musicians who needed custom-fitted in-ear monitors; and people in their 20s and 30s with moderate to severe hearing damage, as well as older adults.
